Forewords

I started blogging in 2006 with blogspot. This was before blogspot became a part of Google. Since then I have endeavoured to do some quality writing and with time I realized blog is a very good place to start with. I have written, edited and deleted countless times and realized that the tone of writing is changing with time. Today I can claim that blogs have made me see my own mistakes and learn from it.

I took a back seat from this blog a while ago. However, after getting my domain, I decided to redesign it. Keep it simple. Generally bloggers yearn for readership. Everyone likes readers to drop by to their blogs, leave really fruitful, motivating comments, but it does not happen very often, and in the end leaves the bloggers demotivated. Well, I guess I am not as young and restless as I used to be when I started off. So I have accepted to come to terms with life as it goes. If I get visitors, fine; if not then also it is okay. Blogging is doing good to me in its own ways.

One thing we need to understand here that the scarcity of readers has nothing to do with our writing or us being low profile, rarely known people. It is a social habit that we nurture. Before cribbing about readership, we need to ask the question ourselves, that how often do we go and read other people’s work, let alone critique them in their favour. The day we break free from our own little world, things will start to change, for better.

Thank you for reading. Take care.

I cannot agree more on your take about the reader-blogger relationship :) I too felt the same way initially, but gradually i realized, I write for my pleasure…its a platform to vent out my thoughts. Someone reviewing it and leaving behind critical and encouraging comment is like a cherry on top, but that alone is not the only motivating factor for writing :) :)

I like your blog… specially ur work with the cam :)
    Keep them coming :)

      Apala,

I am glad to hear that. However, I feel now there are a lot of networking among bloggers to exchange their ideas. When I started off, I hardly knew anyone else in my social circle to reciprocate creative thoughts. I wish to be a writer more than a photographer really, but the adventures with a camera is fun too. Thanks for dropping by.

    Dear Abhra,

The foreword was really good to read – straightforward and without cliches. Just reminded me of the words of a teacher from school, who used to say – “My son, all of you are unique. All of you are better than the rest in some way.” So true, indeed. Sadly, we sometimes spend an entire lifetime trying to find that special bit in ourselves. Blessed are those who find that out early in their life.

I do remember you had a passion for writing (among other things). After so many years, I was happy to see that you still find time out to follow your passion. Well done, mate!!

    Take care,

    Sampad

I am really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays..
